• DANCE 195 - Improvisational Structures Credits: 2
• DANCE 200 - Anatomy for Dancers Credits: 1
• DANCE 205 - Dance as an Art Form Credits: 3
• DANCE 225 - Rhythmic Notation for Dance Credits: 1
• DANCE 295 - Dance Composition I Credits: 3
• DANCE 350 - West African Styles of Social Dance and Music Credits: 2
• DANCE 502 - Performance Production Credits: 0-1 (minimum of three semesters)

Dance technique

Students take all of the core courses and must earn a “B” or higher in a Level II of one technique sequence and a Level III in another. The Technique Total credits are variable depending on whether a student auditions into Level I or Level II in any of the technique sequences. The outcome of auditions will determine if a student will take 3, 4, or 5 technique classes to fulfill the Dance Minor.
