Adult Learning Graduate Certificate

This 15-credit hour, online graduate certificate offered by the Department of Educational Leadership  emphasizes how adult learning principles and instructional methods can be used to strengthen skills of trainers and educators who provide educational opportunities for adult learners. This program will assist any working professional who would like to expand their skills in the areas of adult curriculum design, learning theories and methods of teaching, and program evaluation.

Students seeking this certificate must fill out a Graduate School application indicating the field of study will be the Adult Learning graduate certificate program. This is a separate application from the one for admission into the master’s degree. In addition to the Graduate School application, applicants need to submit the following: 

  • two official copies of transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate work,
  • and a statement of their goals and purposes for seeking this certificate.

This material is sent to the College of Education’s Office of Graduate Studies.
