Administrative leadership endorsements

A graduate degree is required for any professional administrative leadership license granted by the state of Kansas. The program required by the College of Education must be completed. A minimum of eight hours from courses required for the administrator license must be earned at K-State before the College of Education may recommend administrative licensure. The educational leadership faculty should be contacted regarding advisement for specific administrative leadership licensure.

There are two Kansas administrator endorsements: the building administrator endorsement for the principalship and the district school administration endorsement for the superintendency, which also covers other positions such as special education director (see special education, below).

This endorsement is for licensure for the principalship. It includes 36 hours of course work. Courses required for this endorsement are the same as those required in the M.S. in educational leadership.
