The School of Human Sciences is focused on the study of individuals and families from a multidisciplinary perspective. Programs emphasize developmental processes throughout the life cycle, interpersonal relationships, and educational programming for children and families.

Undergraduate programs include conflict resolution, early childhood education, family and consumer sciences education, gerontology, human development and family science, and integrative human sciences.

The department places great importance on laboratory and applied learning experiences, along with classroom experiences. On-campus applied learning experiences for undergraduate students are available in the Family Center and the Center for Child Development.
