The programs in the Department of Hospitality Management are designed to meet the needs of the vibrant hospitality industry and prepares students for professional careers in lodging, food and beverage, and event management.
The department offers a bachelor of science degree in hospitality management, an accelerated bachelor’s and master’s degree, and a minor in hospitality management.

The fashion studies program includes two areas of specialization: fashion business and fashion design. The program aspires to be the program of choice for sustainable fashion, advancing environmental, social, and economic sustainability knowledge and behavior through education, scholarship, and engagement. The Fashion Studies program at Kansas State University prepares the next generation of leaders to envision and implement sustainable approaches to the global fashion industry. Undergraduate programs lead to a bachelor of science in fashion studies. Resident graduate programs lead to an accelerated BS/MS in fashion studies, a master of science in fashion studies or a doctoral degree in health and human sciences with specialization in sustainable fashion business.
Students in all programs are encouraged to take advantage of diverse learning experiences including internships, study abroad, field trips, and study tours. The fashion studies undergraduate program is accredited by the Textiles and Apparel Programs Accreditation Commission (TAPAC).
Facilities include well-equipped studios and laboratories for: fashion design and production, and textile analysis. The textile laboratories include a wide range of textile and product testing equipment, and extensive equipment for natural dye research. The department is home to the Kansas State University Historic Costume and Textile Museum with an extensive collection of artifacts available for research and public education through exhibition.
