HORT 704 - Therapeutic Gardens and Gardening Credits 2
This course explores the principles, practices and benefits of therapeutic gardens and gardening as tools for promoting physical, emotional and psychological well-being. Students will explore the design elements that make outdoor spaces therapeutic. Through lectures, hands-on activities, case studies and design projects students will learn how to create and use gardens and gardening to support diverse populations with varying needs, skills and experiences.
Note 1 hour lecture and 2 hours activities per week.
