BME 860 - Advanced Computer Vision with Biomedical Applications Credits 3
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to classical and deep learning techniques in computer vision, with a focus on biomedical image analysis. Students will explore image preprocessing, segmentation, object detection, and motion analysis using Python and MATLAB. The course emphasizes hands-on learning, critical evaluation of published work, and project-based exploration of real-world biomedical datasets.
Note Prerequisites Topics: Background knowledge in linear algebra, probability/statistics, and optimization, as well as proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python or MATLAB, with Python preferred), or consent of the instructor.
