CE 441 - Design of Civil Engineering Materials

Credits: 3

This course covers the design of durable Portland cement and asphalt concrete mixtures. Students explore the properties of cements, supplementary cementitious materials, and aggregates to optimize performance. Using the Superpave Method and volumetric principles, students will tailor asphalt mixtures to specific site conditions. The curriculum also includes the design of flexible and rigid pavement cross-sections following AASHTO standards.
