DAS 214 - Introduction to Arts & Sciences Education Theory and Practice

Credits: 0-2

Introduces learning theory and teaching practices for arts and sciences learning assistants. Presents theoretical issues such as conceptual development, questioning techniques, and cooperative learning. Students will read research literature on teaching and learning in arts and sciences and engage in classroom discussions. Students are expected to reflect on their own teaching practices throughout the semester as well.

Student must be admitted to the LA Program to enroll. Permission of instructor.
