CE 565 - Water and Wastewater Engineering Credits: 3
In course includes application, analysis, and synthesis of foundational scientific principles and governing equations as they relate to municipal water and wastewater treatment. This is achieved through the study of unit operations and processes—adsorption, absorption, ion exchange, coagulation/flocculation, ion exchange, biological reaction, sedimentation, gas stripping—and their integration in municipal water and wastewater treatment process trains.
Note Three hours of lecture per week.

Requisites Prerequisite: “C” or better in either CE 351 or ME 571, “C” or better in either CE 550 or BAE 560, and “C” or better in CE 563
