CE 212 - Elementary Surveying Engineering

Credits: 3

Introduction to land surveying for engineering and construction sciences. Topics include: Leveling, Traverse Closing and Area Calculations, Angles and Directions, Topographic Surveying, Alignments, Boundary Surveys, Construction Stakeouts, and Earthworks. Students will work in teams to collect instrument data and record field notes. Introduction to the proper use of modern surveying instruments such as levels and total stations.

Two hours of lecture and three hours lab per week.
