FNDH 515 - Counseling Strategies in Nutrition and Dietetics Credits: 3
This course introduces evidence-based nutrition counseling, emphasizing empathetic, client-centered communication. Students will develop foundational skills in motivational interviewing, behavior change theory, and collaborative relationship-building. Through lectures, discussions, and simulations, they will practice counseling techniques, identify communication barriers, and explore documentation and billing for medical nutrition therapy.
