HIST 365 - Bloody Battlefields: WWII in Europe

From Hitler’s rise to power, to siege of Stalingrad, to the Normandy landings, this class will follow the unfolding of WWII on both eastern and western fronts until the meeting of Soviet and American troops on the Elbe River in 1945. In addition to the belligerents’ grand strategies and the unfolding of specific battles, this class will look at the ways the war affected people and societies.
