GRSC 313 - Intro to Feed and Pet Food Processing Lab

This course provides students with hands-on experience in the fundamental processes used in feed and pet food manufacturing. Through laboratory exercises, students will explore key operations such as ingredient preparation, grinding, mixing, pelleting, canning, baking, freeze drying, extrusion, and packaging. Emphasis is placed on understanding equipment operation, safety protocols, and troubleshooting in a production setting. This applied learning approach reinforces theoretical knowledge from lecture-based courses and prepares students with the technical skills necessary for careers in the feed and pet food industry.
