FFM 227 - Feed Equipment Maintenance Practicum Credits 1
This hands-on course provides practical experience in developing and implementing equipment maintenance programs for feed manufacturing and pet food processing facilities. Students will work with machinery such as mixers, extruders, conveyors, and packaging equipment, learning preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repair techniques. The course emphasizes maintaining equipment efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring product safety and quality. By the end of the course, students will have gained the skills necessary to manage maintenance programs that optimize equipment performance in feed and pet food production.
