Explores climate justice movements and concepts in the US and globally. Particular attention is placed on the ways that gender, race, class, and global location intersect and how different social actors (individuals, activist groups, governments, nations) define climate change and how climate justice activist movements fight for change. Through discussion and critical analysis, will explore a variety of topics and concepts including global climate change, environmental and climate justice, growth and degrowth, colonization and decolonization, and human and nature rights among others.
