MATH 161 - Contemporary Mathematics Support Credits: 1
Note: Contemporary Mathematics Support credits cannot count towards the 120 credits of the degree program. This course was designed through the Kansas Board of Regents Math Pathways initiative. Students who do not meet one of the multiple placement measures must enroll concurrently in MATH 161 and MATH 160.
Contemporary Mathematics Support is the corequisite support course for MATH 160 - Contemporary Mathematics. The support course provides additional review of the background knowledge and foundational skills which promote student success in MATH 160. The content of MATH 161 is directly aligned with the course objectives of MATH 160.
Note MATH 161 is the KBOR math pathways corequisite course for the contemporary math course. Students that do not meet any of the KBOR multiple placement measures must also enroll in MATH 161 as the corequisite course to MATH 160.
