FFM 120 - Ingredient Identification and Quality: Cereal Grains

This course teaches students the skills necessary to identify various types of cereal grains and assess their quality. Students will learn about key physical and chemical characteristics, as well as the factors that influence grain quality such as growing conditions, handling, and storage. The course includes practical instruction on grading, testing, and evaluating grains for food and feed production. By the end of the course, students will be able to recognize common cereal grains and determine their suitability for different applications based on quality standards.
