Apply principles first introduced in CE 241 to design of traditional and specialized concretes (such as high-performance concrete, self-compacting concrete, low-CO₂ concrete, internally-cured concrete, and RAP asphalt concrete); properties of concrete prepared using non-traditional cements; standardized testing to quantify long-term durability of concrete; planning experiments to minimize error variance and avoid bias.
