WOEM 400 - Pond and Sportfish Management

Credits: 3

Examines principles to manage ponds and recreational sportfish populations in North America including: pond design, construction, and maintenance, sportfish stocking and harvesting, life history of common species, fish habitat requirements, aquatic vegetation identification and control, and fundamentals of operating aquatic guiding operations.

Two one-hour lectures and one three-hour lab per week. Field trips required.
