FNDH 635 - Sports Nutrition Credits: 3
The interrelationships among diet, nutrition, and performance. Topics covered include nutrient metabolism during exercise training and performance, nutrition and training periodization, demands of sport training, supplements and ergogenic aids, and nutrients of concern for athletes. There is a focus on athletes/sport, but topics also include normal exercising individuals who have goals related to weight loss, weight gain, or performance and competition.
Note Three hours lecture per week.

Requisites Prerequisite: FNDH 400 OR KIN 335 with a grade of C or higher; and KIN 360 OR BIOL 441 and 442
