INDD 292 - Design Thinking Credits: 3
Design Thinking is the process of analyzing the problem areas from a given project statement and generating a solution through observation, research, conceptualization, and iteration. Through this course, students will learn how to apply user-centered design approaches to a given design challenge. This course will cover selected design thinking tools and methods in four phases: 1) Explore, 2) Discover, 3) Develop, and 4) Deliver. Several case studies will demonstrate how Design Thinking can be applied to other fields, and students will share their reflections and experiences about how they can make use of the process, methods, and tools they have learned in their respective fields.
