POLSC 360 - Race, Ethnicity, and Politics

Credits: 3

The course will address inequality and political power by examining the role of race and ethnicity in American politics and its contemporary significance to the nation’s citizens, politicians, and governmental institutions. Among the specific topics covered are ethno-racial/political identities, political attitudes, partisanship, and voting. In addition, several contemporary public policy areas like policing, labor organizing, voting rights, and housing will be discussed.
