ARCH 453 - Structural Systems in Architecture IV Credits: 3
Instruction in the design of building structures as whole systems; overall-to-specific systems behavior and manipulative design of major subsystems. Emphasis on the design of subsystems and subsystem components as they are affected by structural material. Instruction in specialized issues associated with the analysis and design of high rise and long-span building structure, including foundation, constructive, and economic factors which affect building design.
Note: Three hours lecture, two hours workshop/test each week.
Requisites: Prerequisite: ARCH 452.
