PAS 820 - Internal Medicine - SCPECredits: 4
A supervised clinical practice experience designed to give students the opportunity to participate in the medical decision making process while developing the appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities to provide care in the in/outpatient internal medicine practice. Students will encounter a full range of experiences to include, preventative care, acute and chronic illness, and palliative/end of life care in the context of each patient’s social, economic, cultural and religious background. Students will have the opportunity to work as part of the primary team while coordinating with subspecialist, and interdisciplinary allied health professionals.
Requisites: Successful completion of clinical orientation and didactic phase of the PA program (B or better in PAS 700-792).
