PAS 780 - Clinical Medicine ICredits: 4
Designed to guide the development of problem-solving skills to apply in the medical decision-making process. Will include an in-depth study of diseases/disorders using a body systems approach. Medical knowledge includes the epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, management, and patient education of diseases/disorders. Emphasis will be on disease processes/disorders common to primary care practices. Instruction includes the provision of care in preventive, emergent, acute, chronic, adolescent, and adult populations as it applies to disease processes. Instruction will include lecture, problem/case based learning and small group work.
Requisites: Prerequisite: Admission to the PA Program
