SPAN 735 - 20th- and 21st-Century Spain

Contextualized discussion and analysis of contemporary Spanish literature and cultural life.  Course may be focused on a theme or genre (e.g., the Generation of ‘27, the Spanish Civil War, the Franco dictatorship and transition to democracy, feminism, or immigration). 

Note:
Develops the ability to interpret and craft complex, abstract language. Reading- and writing-intensive class.

Requisites:
Prerequisite: SPAN 550 and 6 additional hours at the 500-level or instructor permission.
