AVT 417 - Composites IIICredits: 3
Continued study of the highly complex composite parts and associated molding technologies used to produce these parts. Topics include the construction of resin infusion parts and mold construction, resusable vacuum bagging materials, application of preimpregnated materials and tooling designed to withstand oven cure cycles, discussion of advanced materials and techniques new to the industry. The lab will support the lectures with projects designed to give the student the hands on application in a relative environment.
Note One hour lecture and four hours lab a week.
Requisites Corequisite: AVT 400.
