ART 365 - Ceramics I

Credits: 3

Introduction to the spectrum of ceramics processes. Students learn foundational techniques that include hand building and slip casting; use found objects to make both vessel and sculptural ceramic work; and explore new genres in clay. Students create a multitude of surface treatments from traditional glazing, image and pattern transfer, as well as nontraditional surfaces.

Requisites
Prerequisite: ART 200.
