Mathematical analysis of dynamical systems governed by differential equations and their optimal processes, feedback, and filtering. Topics include: dynamical systems with controls, axioms of control systems, input-output behaviors, stability and instability, reachability and controllability, dynamic feedback and stabilization, optimal control processes, piecewise constant control and bang-bang principle, Pontryagin maximum principle, tracking, filtering.
Requisites Prerequisite: MATH 560, 715.
