BIOCH 523 - Introduction to Biochemical MethodsCredits: 2
A one-semester virtual laboratory course encompassing a connected series of experiments that span biochemical chromatographic techniques, PCR- cloning into plasmids by restriction fragment exchange, protein expression and purification by His-tag affinity chromatography, spectroscopic analysis of ligand binding, enzyme kinetics and inhibition.
Note Two hours of lecture and four hours of virtual laboratory experiments per week.
Requisites Prerequisites: CHM 350, CHM 351; BIOCH 521 or concurrent enrollment.
