PFP 466 - Personal Risk Management and Insurance Planning

Credits: 3

This course provides an analysis of risk management concepts, tools, and strategies for individuals and families, including: life insurance; property and casualty insurance; liability insurance; accident, disability, health, and long-term care insurance; and government-subsidized programs. Current and emerging issues, as well as ethical considerations, relative to risk management will be discussed. Case studies will provide experience in selecting insurance products suitable for individuals and families.

Requisites
Prerequisite: PFP 305 or FINAN 450 with a grade of “B” or better and KSU cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
