ENGL 500 - Writing Center Theory and Practice

Readings in the field of writing center studies, with attention to topics such as ESL, literacy, and multiculturalism. Literacy studied as it intersects with race, gender, class, ethnicity, and social and institutional structures. Application of theory through a research project and peer tutoring apprenticeship.
