Topics covered include the mechanics of investing in securities and market basics, the risk-return trade-off, asset pricing models, market efficiency, the valuation of securities, portfolio performance measurement, and an introduction to derivatives.

Requisites:
Prerequisite: FINAN 450. May be taken concurrently with FINAN 510.
