GEOG 508 - Geographic Information Systems I Examination of the major theories, concepts, and operations in geographic information systems (GIS). Topics include: the structure of geographic data models, geographic data acquisition, spatial database management, data processing methods. Vector and raster GIS operations, and general approaches to GIS-based spatial modeling.

Note: The course will consist of two hours of lec. and two hours of lab a week.
