MET 117 - Mechanical DetailingCredits: (3) Preparation of shop drawings for manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly. Specifications of size, shape, material for manufacture. Cost and tolerance relationship. Introduction to geometric tolerancing. Selective assembly and stress calculations in interference fits. Computer techniques including CAD, spreadsheets, and mathematical analysis are applied throughout the course.
Note One hour lecture and four hours lab a week.
Requisites Prerequisite: MET 111 and MATH 100 and MATH 151.
