Individually directed research in atomic physics, condensed matter, particle physics or physics education.

Students in the Arts and Sciences honors program should enroll in PHYS 498 and PHYS 499 instead of PHYS 497. May be repeated once.

Prerequisite: Senior in physics and permission of instructor.
