PHYS 472 - Mathematical Physics

An introduction to the application of mathematical methods to the study of physical systems. Topics include the use of ordinary differential equations in physics, the application of Fourier’s methods to waves, vectors and matrices, applications of vector calculus, partial differential equations.

Three hours of lecture per week.

Requisites
Prerequisite: PHYS 224, MATH 222 or concurrent enrollment.
