The Department of Special Education, Counseling and Student Affairs contributes to the undergraduate teacher preparation program through its offerings in educational psychology, interpersonal relations in schools, and special education. Studies in special education accommodate students who wish to specialize in teaching children and youth with certain exceptionalities. Students must complete an undergraduate teacher education program leading to licensure for either elementary or secondary school teaching. Program focus is to work with students with adaptive and functional disabilities at the elementary and secondary levels.
