IMSE 760 - Stochastic Calculus Financial Engineering Credits: (3) This course will serve as an introduction to the basic concepts and computing techniques of financial engineering and its real-life applications. These basics can be applied in many other aspects of industrial engineering used throughout stochastic processes, probability theory, system simulation, portfolio/risk management, and supply chain optimization.
Requisites Prerequisite: IMSE 530, 660, and CIS 209 or 200, or ME 400.

IMSE 780 - Methods of Operations Research Credits: (3) This course is intended to give an overview of OR at the graduate level. After this course, the student will have the general basic knowledge in OR and a better idea about the usefulness and interrelationships of the various subjects in OR. Topics to be covered include the various optimization techniques, stochastic processes and optimization, and the various approaches in the treatment of uncertainty.
