BIOL 404 - Biology of Aging

Credits: 3

An introduction to theories, both physiological and evolutionary, proposed to explain the aging phenomena. Major emphasis on a systems approach, e.g., circulatory, nervous, etc. A coverage of each system includes a review of normal structure and function, age related changes and age related dysfunctions and diseases.

Requisites
Prerequisite: BIOL 198; and GERON 315 or a second course in biology.
